Red’s Quality Acre is a wholesale driven, 2-acre farm with a 200+ member CSA. Our crew includes folks from a variety of backgrounds interested in learning more about sustainable farm practices, gathering information about running a small business of their own, or just want to spend more time outside working in nature.
At Red's it is our goal to run a farm business that is honest, transparent, respectful, and enjoyable. While we have quite high standards for quality, we try not to take ourselves too seriously. We enjoy honest hard work that is meaningful for all involved. The perfect crew members work hard and efficiently, have great attention to detail, and most importantly just have a good attitude. We realize this is hard work and not the most glamorous, but feel confident you’ll enjoy your time as a member of Red’s farm crew!

HARVEST + PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Purpose of this Position
This crew member will work as direct support to the Farm Manager; assisting daily in all harvesting and packing. You will need to be flexible as you will also be asked to help with the essential production duties.
Responsibilities
All harvesting and packing including:
Field harvesting
Washing and packing wholesale orders
Packing CSA Shares
Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of washpack station
Help with all production work including:
Bed prep
Field seeding/transplanting
Weeding
Tomato pruning and tying
Some tractor work
The Ideal Candidate
Will work efficiently and effectively both independently and alongside a small farm crew
Be punctual, accountable, and responsible
Can work in all weather conditions
Maintains a positive attitude and works well with others
Is eager to learn about small-scale sustainable farming and understand the inner workings of a small business
Can lift up to 50lbs and has experience with physical labor
Compensation
$12.00-$14.00/ hour depending on experience
4 days/week ~32-35 hours/week
Paid hour lunch
All you can eat farm produce
March - November with possible year round employment: by taking this job you are committing to being available for the entire season with the exception of planned vacation time of 1-week.
All employees are 1099 independent contractors
GREEN HOUSE MANAGER + PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Purpose of this Position
This crew member will work as direct support to the Farm Manager; completing weekly greenhouse work and assisting in essential field production.
Responsibilities
Overseeing seeding, organization, and irrigation of the greenhouses
Managing all greenhouse seeding
Planting and harvesting microgreens
Completing weekly supply inventories
Field work such as bed prep and transplanting with farm crew

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Will work efficiently and effectively both independently and alongside a small farm crew
Be punctual, accountable, and responsible

Can lift up to 50lbs and has experience with physical labor

3 days/week ~24-30 hours/week
